Inspect the external turbocharger before stripping down.
A turbocharger is completely stripped down to inspect each component.
Cleaning and sandblast of Compressor Housing and Turbine Housing to remove any particles or carbon.
Tolerance inspection of compressor wheels, shaft & wheels, and actuators.
Rework worn-out parts that are still within the allowable tolerance.
Replacement of new component if more than allowable tolerance.
Rotor balancing for rotor assembly.
Assembly of CHRA and high-speed VSR balancing.
Actuator calibration.
High pressure leak test.
Final assembly and quality assurance.
The process is complete by assigning a unique serial number to the repair unit.
